From Melinda: The Mighty Midols, a.k.a. the Period Powerpuff Girls. I couldn't make this up.

Also considering registering a few more domains in addition to loojie.com...and found this interesting list for registry comparison shopping.

I'm considering installing this site statistics tracker on loojie.com.

When you can't get a reservation at the French Laundry, take heart: there's always Sierra Mar. (Unless you can't get a reservation there either.)

Why is texas #1 in executions? Maybe because it's Texas?

From the webgrrls archive: A List Apart, lots of ideas together in one place.

I like to know about places like the Koan Dojo Aikido and Yoga Center...just in case I ever get around to actually doing all the fun meditative things I keep reading about.

Many moons ago, in my first official consulting gig, I worked at a large Canadian telecommunications company. I wasn't directly involved in their public relations efforts, so I can quote goofy press releases without guilt. Take particular note of the words used to describe the partner company in this release -- five bucks to anyone who can tell me what they actually mean.

I've got to hand it to Weight Watchers: if you can get into the whole mindset they espouse, as a number of my friends and relatives have done, it seems to work.

mmm, psyched for the California Small Brewers Festival.

I knew it! Eight glasses of water a day is a myth.

More faqs on Education and Savings Bonds.

I'm thinking of using some old U.S. Savings Bonds to pay my tuition this fall, but I fear that we may not get the full tax benefit due to my husband's salary. Ugh, don't get me started about government disincentives to earn more.

So much for linguistics as the key to human-computer interaction. Or something.

Yes! It's Progress Quest: "all the excitement of an RPG, without the annoying need to spend time playing."

Star Wars: a parable of good and evil? Maybe. But who's really evil?

Play God: create your own creatures and engineer evolution the way you know it ought to be done.

Lessons in Legal Writing & Research from the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction. (Can you believe there's a Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction?)

How to Brief a Case, again.

How to Brief a Case...because you need to know.

A ray of hope: someone who's been there talks about transferring.

Feh! It's a Yiddish Dictionary.

Here's an excellent definition in action of the word Schadenfreude.

See albatross. See albatross dance.
