English sinks
Seen in a Bathstore in Salisbury, Wiltshire:
I like them, but am kind of getting over the vessel-sink concept. I think I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and enlarge the hole in the countertop.

Mirrors hanging on ribbons -- too Pottery Barn, circa 2004?
A neat use of Early American stencils -- ferns in two neutral shades of green around the bathtub. I really liked this effect, although I'd do weeping willows.
...in a housewares store on Main Street in Bellevue:
It's ceramic, but glazed in copper and nickel finishes. Striking.
I love elephants -- who better to bathe along with me? Either of these posters could go well above the soaking tub.

This is the bathroom in my lawyer's office, which left me entranced as I washed my hands. I don't think I could do a transparent or translucent glass vessel sink in the master bath, though; it needs to sit on top of the counter, not halfway down into a precut hole.
Here's another bathroom sink concept -- handpainted Talavera ceramic sinks!
This one is my favorite.

I took this picture in the ladies' room at the P Street Whole Foods. This type of sink could also work as a replacement for the little mixing bowl deal in my master bath -- it'd cover the hole in the countertop, and would be easier to maintain than copper.
I like the idea of replacing the bathroom sink -- a tiny (slightly over 11" in diameter) aluminum thing that's smaller than my mixing bowls -- with a bigger copper sink that sits above the countertop. If it could work.
For a sense of the colors (although the camera does lie a bit) and the existing decor:
